Moomin Valley Park, where the visitors can walk around the world of Moomin tales, opened in Hanno-shi, Saitama on March 16. This park is next to “Metsä Village” that was inspired by the Nordic lifestyle. In the park, there are the Moomin’s house “Muumitalo”, the theater of Moominpappa’s adventure “Merenhuiske”, and a tree house that children can climb up.

The building named “Kokemus”, which means ‘experience’ in Finnish, has the stores of the Nordic-style goods as well as a dining hall for visitors of all ages. Moomin Valley Park was created by the imagination of Tove Jansson, a Finnish author of Moomin, and is a unique place that mixes the atmosphere of Northern Europe with the fantasy world of Moomin tales.
